I needed a spacer for my single speed cog. I brought the wheel to Epic and they set me up with the spacer I needed - free of charge. Very friendly and helpful.

I blew out my front chain-ring and derallier on my 11 year old MTB. A stretched chain will do a job on your running gear, and it happened to me.

The staff here was very helpful. They showed me options within my price point and didn’t try to oversell me at all. I rode three bikes and found one that fit great. It was a little weird there was a dog walking around the store and getting in the way. I ended up making a purchase at another shop because they had closeout inventory from the previous model year at a better price, but I was very happy with what I learned here.

I wouldn't hesitate taking my bike back for issues in the future. I took two bikes into the shop to get new inner tubes for both bikes (all of the tires had been flat for a 6 months+). The guy who greeted me at the door told me that air was free, and that they would fill them up first to see whether or not I really needed the new inner tubes. While they did that, the guys in the back inspected both bikes and found that my wife's bike had a malfunctioning brake (the rear brake was unusable) and also recommended replacing the chain (because it was %110 rusted and old). I agreed with their recommendations and they took care of both issues in 15 minutes (replacing the brake line & installing a new chain).

I also wanted a taller ring set for better road speed and a chain or "bash" guard on the big ring. Epic Bike and Sport worked with me to find a crank set with four more teeth on each ring, and the guard. They also found the correct associated parts for the rest of the running gear.

Epic met the estimate and the time for repair despite the fact that they were hosting packet pick-up for a triathelon. Overall, outstanding service. They'll stay on my first string for bike repair and such in Kansas City.

When it was all said and done I was $58 lighter for the material and the labor, which was not bad at all for the work that was done.

I took my bike to NINE different shops in the KC metro area. Epic was the only one to give me a written, printed estimate. Several only gave me wide, verbal, range estimates, and others just wrote an estimate on back of a scrap of paper or such.

The service and knowledge of the staff was great! Took a couple bikes around the parking lot and ended up buying one. They also gave me 10% off of a bike rack.
