My family and I will no longer visit or recommend any Meritas.
I left work early and drove 30 minutes in the pouring rain to see my doctor for a physical. Unfortunately, I was five minutes late and they would not see me. "We like you to be 15 minutes early." There was only three people in the waiting room.
Dr. Acosta-Dickson was terrific. The staff was very professional. The office was clean. I am a new patient here - I was pleasantly surprised.
The doctors are all awesome. I have some conditions that most doctors aren't knowledgeable about but all 3 doctors I've see here have been extremely knowledgeable about them, which is rare. Usually I have to educate the doctors about my conditions. But the office staff is always rude. They never return calls. When they can actually bother to return a call they don't leave a message or will leave a message but not say where they're calling from or the call back number. I was given the run around and constantly transferred to voice mails when I was told I was being transferred to a person. Then the voicemail wouldn't even pick up. Then when I call back upset about the run around I was given for DAYS I was told my behavior was inappropriate and rude. Of course it was because I had been treated horribly for days at that point without anyone actually HELPING me. Anyone would be upset and crying at that point especially when they've been in pain and sick for weeks while dealing with the run around from the incompetence of this office staff.
I adore my doctor (Dr. Acosta Dickson) and her nurse! She is very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. The lab staff is great as well. I love the ladies who work up front in reception; they always greet me with a smile even when they are busy. I go in weekly to weigh and they have offered me encouragement on my weight loss journey. I'm so grateful to have found this office. They have helped me on my road to recovery and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I love my doctor; have been with her for years. Ever since she joined Meritas, the office itself had gone down hill. There are new people at the front desk every time i go in (which is every few months) and nurses are in and out like a revolving door. It may come down to me changing doctors which pains me since i adore the one i have.
The icing on the cake was a painless lab visit! I am very happy to have found this new doctor!
