KCMO
He's been my primary care doctor for almost six years. He and his staff are both professional and caring to all their patients. I highly recommend them.
I hope this has been helpful.

I then called the doctors office in the afternoon of 10/22/2015. I was told that they were received but the doctor was not in today. But I should call back tomorrow if I hadn't heard anything by the afternoon. I called back the next afternoon and was told they were in his box and he is very busy and would have to review them. Well folks it's Friday @ 20:32 and I'm writing this review due to me NOT getting a follow up call on my MRI's! It's now the weekend and it's hard to do many things. One is even putting my right shoe on and one more would be keeping my balance. I just wanted to get help, that's all. If he was to busy why would he take me in for appointment at all!
Please DO NOT go here. Dr. Donaldson and the staff at Primary Care North (PCN) are not just and fair. I visited them back in 09/02/11 for an ear problem I was having. I called and schedule an appointment at 12:15 PM. I filled the new patient form and my wife and I waited in the reception area for 20 mins. It was now 12:35 PM when the nurse came for us. The nurse took my blood pressure, height and weight and she used some equipment to look inside my ear to see if my ears were blocked. And then she left the room and told us to wait. We waited for another 30 mins before a medical student shadowing Dr. Donaldson came in to see me. It is now 1:05 PM. He asked me a bunch of questions but did not seem prepare on what he was doing or what questions to ask. The medical student stayed for 10 mins and told us to wait some more for Dr. Donaldson. Dr. Donaldson finally came in around 1:45 PM. By now it had been 90 mins since I first arrived to PCN. Dr. Donaldson came in, took a quick look at my ears and told me that it was an allergy reaction and prescribed me allergy medicine and then he left. He talked to me no longer than 5 mins, he was probably there for 3 mins. He had a computer on hand and was typing some information on his computer most of those 5 mins. My wife and I finally left the doctor office at 1:50 PM, after waiting and waiting for a long time which I only got to see the doctor for 5 mins. A whole month went by and I did not hear back from the doctor’s office. On 10/06/11 I received a letter from my insurance saying that my share of the doctor bill was going to be $172.58. The insurance was going to pay $115.42 and my share was $172.58 for a grand total of $288. I was completely shocked, $288 for a 5 min doctor visit. What did he do that cost $288? Yes, granted I was in the clinic for 1.5 hours but was actually seeing by the nurse and doctor for 10 mins. Is this just and fair? I am totally ok with paying to see a doctor; they deserved to be pay for their services but 10 mins for $288 dollars? This is just wrong. Please DO NOT go here. DC
So, if you are looking for a good "general practicioner" North of the river, give him a shot. I should mention... I haven't personally taken advantage of it yet, but he offers an "E-Visit" (not sure if that is the proper name) service where you can do an "online" office visit (for times here you just have a simple cold and there is no necessity to see him in person). I know my insurance (BCBS of KC) has a cheaper co-pay for these visits. So you don't even have to go see him, he can have your prescription called in to your local pharmacy. This would be great if you have trouble getting off work, or you live a good distance away.
I have been a patient of Dr. Donaldson for almost 10 years. He is without doubt the best doctor I've ever received treatment from. I have sent several friends and family members to him. He takes time to listen and is very thorough in explaining treatment options and the benefits/drawbacks of each option. I have seen other doctors (when I have to go to a specialist) and I have felt like their objective is to get you out the door as quickly as possible. I have had occasions where I have spent over 30 minutes with Dr Donaldson so he can make sure I understand his instructions. He is very knowledgable about what is/isn't covered by your insurance, and will offer treatment options which will address your illness - I while keeping your co-pays within your budget. The office staff is super-friendly, and will go above and beyond to provide a positive experience. His office provides a surprising amount of services (on site x-ray) and is open late on Tuesdays to provide an option for people that can't take off work. In all the years I have been going to him, I can't think of a single occasion where I called in the morning I and wasn't able to see him that day (there have been times during flu season where I was a "work-in" and had to wait for a while).
On 10/12/2015 I had my first visit Dr Donaldson for loss of coordination, tingling in right tips of my fingers, a electro shock type feeling that suddenly would go thru my body and more! This was taken seriously and he moved for me to get a MRI of head and lumber. Said I would be contacted with date and time for the MRI. Never happened so I contacted my insurance on 10/14/2015 late in the day. So I had my own MRI set for 10/21/2015 @ 08:45.
