Worst police department I've ever came across. The whole Wyandotte county is corrupted and steps over the law as if they are above it. Some cops are good and do their jobs but it's definitely way more bad than good cops in this department .
Needs some serious reorganization, lot of people need to be let go. I'm pro-police but this place is corrupt.
I was the victim in a hit and run accident and I called the emergency number but since I was not badly hurt and could move, I was told no officer was available in that office. I was transferred to about 4 more offices back and forth, but still no help. It was about 10pm, so I drove home, because I didn't want to keep waiting on the hwy. I've tried calling to file a police report or find out about weekend hours, but that has been to no avail. This is my first experience with the police department and it's horrible.
We are blessed, believe it or not. You can't condemn a whole department for the actions of a few crooked ones.
Most unprofessional police department I've ever seen. Call me at 9pm to retrieve my stolen motorcycle and 15 minutes later and literally a block from the criminals house, I get told I took to long and the bike would now cost me 70$ tow fee and 30$ a day storage. Clearly someone at city hall is getting kickbacks.
